Foto-foto Menakjubkan Kiriman Astronot Wanita dari Luar Angakasa

With over fifty thousand followers on Twitter, Karen L Nyberg, or @AstroKarenN, seems to be on her way to becoming the next Chris Hadfield.

ASTRONOT perempuan asal Amerika Serikat (AS) yang saat ini berada di stasiun luar angkasa (ISS) Karen L. Nyberg juga memiliki hobi yang sama dengan mantan kepala astronot asal Kanada, Chris Hadfield. Ia pun senang berbagi foto luar angkasa yang menakjubkan ke akun Twitter-nya.

Sama halnya dengan Hadfield yang telah kembali ke Bumi pada 13 Mei lalu, Karen juga ingin memberikan wawasan dan pengalaman kesehariannya di antariksa. 

Seperti dikutip The Independent, Jumat (2/8/2013), ia mem-posting gambar makanan yang mengambang dan terfraksi cahaya dengan latar belakang pemandangan Bumi dari luar angkasa yang menakjubkan.

Langkahnya ini mengikuti jejak Hadfield yang kerap mem-posting berbagai foto dan video. Apapun yang di-posting olehnya selalu saja menarik banyak minat pemirsa atau followers-nya. Terlebih saat ia mem-posting video terakhir saat berada di ISS, menyanyikan lagu David Bowie berjudul 'Space Oddity' dengan gitarnya.

Popularitas astronot berusia 43 tahun ini sudah meningkat ketika ia sempat mem-posting cara mencuci rambut panjangnya di luar angkasa. Video yang dibagi ke YouTube itu sontak dibanjiri berbagai komentar dari pemirsanya.

Karen bersama dua astronot lainnya, Fyodor Yurchikin dari Rusia dan Luca Parmitan dari European Space Agency (ESA) diberangkatkan ke ISS dari Baikonur Cosmodrome di Kazakhastan pada 28 Mei menggunakan kapal Soyuz TMA-09m.
